Carboxymaltose iron is a new type of intravenous iron, which is trivalent polynuclear iron core（ β- FeOOH) is a complex (code named "vit-45") surrounded by carboxyl maltodextrin (i.e. maltodextrin oxidation product). This core-shell structure can stably complex iron and control the release of iron. Therefore, it can prevent toxic oxides caused by iron transporter and iron protein saturation caused by high blood iron concentration.
