Clopidogrel sulfate is the sulfate of clopidogrel, which is an anti platelet active drug in medicine. Clopidogrel is a platelet aggregation inhibitor. It can irreversibly inhibit platelet aggregation by selectively binding to ADP receptor coupled to adenylate cyclase on the surface of platelets. It can reduce thrombosis in blood vessels. Its action intensity and tolerance are high, so there are few side effects. It gradually replaces aspirin and ticlopidine.

    FUNCTION

    A P2Y12 receptor inhibitor.

    APPLICATION

Clopidogrel alone or in combination with aspirin is prescribed for ischemic stroke, heart attack, prevention of acute coronary syndrome, acute coronary syndrome, prevention of ischemic stroke, prevention of myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention, peripheral artery disease, inhibition of platelet aggregation, and transient ischemic attack. Clopidogrel can also be used to prevent serious or life-threatening heart and vascular problems (poor circulation of blood vessels supplying the legs) in patients with peripheral artery disease. Clopidogrel is sometimes used to prevent blood clots (an irregular heartbeat) in patients with atrial fibrillation.
