PRODUCT INTRO
Carbomer, as an efficient thickening agent, suspending agent and gel matrix, has been widely used in cosmetics. Carbomer 900 series are polymer copolymers of acrylic acid and allyl sucrose or allyl pentaerythritol. Carbomer can be divided into many different types according to the relative molecular weight and crosslinking degree of the polymer. Carbomer 980 is one of carbomer series products.
FUNCTION
Carbomer's main function is thickening, suspension and emulsification. It can be used as gel, adhesive, coating material, rheology improver (wetting agent, lubricant, suspending agent and stabilizer) in pharmaceutics. It is widely used, especially in the new drug delivery system.
APPLICATION
Carbomer is a polyacrylic acid polymer crosslinked with pentaerythritol allyl ether or sucrose. * based on its hydrogel properties, this product can adhere to the surface of the cornea and retain liquid. The structure of the gel will be destroyed by the salt in the tear and release the moisture.
