PRODUCT INTRO
Ethyl (3-pyridyl) - borane is an intermediate of abiraterone, which is used to prepare ataxia telangiectasia mutation and inhibitor of rad3 related (ATR) protein kinase as a potential anticancer drug. It can also be used to synthesize trisubstituted pyrimidines from polyhalopyrimidines by Suzuki coupling.
FUNCTION
Abiraterone is an oral inhibitor of cytochrome oxidase P450 (CYP450) C17. It reduces androgen levels by inhibiting cyp450c17, a key enzyme in androgen synthesis, and inhibits androgens in testis and other parts of the body.
APPLICATION
It can inhibit the production of androgens in any part of the body. It can not only reduce the level of prostate specific antigen (PSA) representing tumor activity, but also help to reduce the tumor. At the same time, it is suitable for tumor patients who have had chemotherapy in the past, showing the hope of treatment.
