PRODUCT INTRO
Esomeprazole sodium is the sodium salt form of esomeprazole. It is a commonly used anti ulcer drug and belongs to proton pump inhibitor. Proton pump inhibitor (PPI) is the first choice for the treatment of acid related diseases such as peptic ulcer and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
FUNCTION
Esomeprazole is an S-isomer of omeprazole, which reduces gastric acid secretion through a specific raking mechanism. It is a specific inhibitor of proton pump in parietal cells. Due to its metabolic advantages, esomeprazole sodium has higher bioavailability and more consistent pharmacokinetics than omeprazole, increasing the number of drugs reaching proton pump, The effect of controlling gastric acid was significantly better than other proton pump inhibitors such as lansoprazole, pantoprazole and rabeprazole.
APPLICATION
1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis. 2. Long term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in cured patients with esophagitis.
3. Symptom control of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
4. Heartburn and combined with appropriate antibacterial therapy to eradicate gastric and duodenal ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori.
