Isoleucine, scientific name 2-amino-3-methylvaleric acid, alias isoleucine, is one of 20 basic amino acids, which exists in almost all protein structures. Because L-isoleucine cannot be synthesized in human body, it is an essential amino acid for human body. Together with L-leucine and L-valine, it is called branched chain amino acid. Function
