Sodium D-pantothenate
Product Intro
Sodium pantothenate is a prescription drug suitable for the long-term replacement treatment of congenital hypothyroidism (cretinism) and hypothyroidism caused by various causes in children and adults.
Function
1. Levothyroxine sodium can increase the anticoagulant effect; 2. Levothyroxine sodium can increase the level of phenytoin sodium in blood; 3. Anticonvulsant drugs such as carbamazepine and phenytoin sodium can accelerate the metabolism of levothyroxine sodium and replace thyroxine from plasma protein; 4. When this product is used with cardiac glycoside, the dosage of cardiac glycoside in chemicalbook must be adjusted accordingly; 5. Levothyroxine sodium also increases the effect of sympathetic drugs; 6. Levothyroxine sodium increases catecholamine receptor sensitivity and therefore increases the response to tricyclic antidepressants; 7. Cholestyramine reduces the absorption of levothyroxine sodium. At the same time, it is necessary to increase the dosage of levothyroxine sodium when using oral contraceptives.
Application
It is suitable for long-term replacement treatment of congenital hypothyroidism (cretinism) and hypothyroidism caused by various reasons in children and adults. It can also be used for inhibition (and replacement) treatment after operation of simple goiter, chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis and thyroid cancer. Sometimes it can be used for adjuvant treatment of hyperthyroidism and thyroid inhibition test.
